As mentioned in my post about switching to clean beauty, you can now find a few clean product lines at department stores, Ulta, Sephora, bluemercury, etc. But if you’re new to clean beauty, I find the clean-only shops to be the easiest option…that way you know without digging through ingredient lists and brand research that you’re purchasing a product that’s been vetted. And it just makes it easier to shop overall…because while the big guys might have a brand or 2 that I like, if I need to stock up on several items like more deodorant, a hair product, a skincare item or 2 AND maybe a new lippie (insert smirky face), I have much better luck at one of the clean beauty shops listed below to get my one-stop-shopping on. Though I will be adding Target to the list, because they now carry some great non toxic lines that are budget-friendly and easily accessible.
A curated list of clean beauty shops and brands
Luckily the clean beauty revolution has grown exponentially in the past few years, and the list of clean beauty shops and brands available could get quite long. Rather than create a gigundous list for you to comb through, I’ve decided to create a more curated list of the places I truly shop at on the regular.
You’ll find stores as well as a few individual brands below. Not only because there are a few lines that only sell directly, but also it’s always a good idea to keep up with a brands’ own site/shop as they will occasionally run their own sales and specials…sign up for their newsletters so that you don’t miss those!
Most all have promo codes (a few special to LITHM readers!). And a biggie for me, they all offer free shipping options (a must).

Ayla Beauty is the shop that introduced me to Marie Veronique and really led me down the road to finally healing my skin from perioral dermatitis (you can read more about that here). Truly helpful and insightful blogs and newsletters, and the owner, Dara Kennedy, has collaborated on some remarkable products herself! The Detox Market was also one of the first green beauty shops I came across that I felt confident shopping with, and with good reason…they’ve been on the scene for over 10 years, starting back when ‘clean beauty’ was still relatively unheard of. Like Credo, if you’re lucky enough to have one near you, they’ve got a few brickandmortar stores too!

I came across Live Botanical 4 years ago thanks to a post from one of my favorite clean beauty bloggers, Lisa of This Organic Girl, and I will be forever grateful (*insert many air kisses*)! I had been battling a bad case of perioral dermatitis, and realized I needed to switch my cleanser over to a moisturizing oil cleanser. But it couldn’t be just any oil cleanser…if I had to double-cleanse, it was too much for the PD. I needed an oil cleanser that washed away clean on its own, and Live Botanical’s Nourishing Cleansing Oil was the first I’d found that did it. It was an integral part of my skin healing and re-balancing.

Maya Chia has really come to be a line that my skin relies on. Their Supercritical Omega-3 Chia oil was one of the first facial oils I ever tried. But where they really pulled me in was with their eye serum, The Eye Achiever. I’ve said it many times…I cheat on it ALL the time, only to find that the grass isn’t greener. Then came The Straight A, the answer to my plant-based retinol prayers…it’s the bomb. Their vitamin C serum is the ONLY vitamin c product that hasn’t made my skin freak out. And one of their more recent launches, The Advance Response Complex, has me fangirling like a tween at a boy-band concert.
You can find Maya Chia at several of my favorite clean beauty shops, but it’s worth keeping up with their own site for launches and occasional sales/promos (sign up for the newsletter!).
