AMAZON PRIME Clean Beauty Shopping List

With the Prime Day sale coming up this week, I figured this was a great time to update my list of clean beauty products that can be purchased on Amazon! Amazon is the first place I go to shop for most anything (I’m an OG Prime member…my UPS guy loves me during the holidays), but when it comes to clean beauty, it can be a bit hit or miss: you have to be careful about who’s actually selling the product (Amazon vs. a seller/storefront), to be sure that you’re getting a legit item.

Clean Beauty at Amazon

There are several green beauty brands that sell directly through Amazon, which is fantastic because you know your purchase is the real deal AND you’re getting free Prime shipping. But there are also great clean beauty Amazon Shops (Carbon Beauty is my favorite) that are reliable and carry a lovely variety of clean beauty lines.

ERE PEREZ | Jojoba Eye Pencil (Bronze, Stone, Earth)

I was a HUGE fan of Urban Decay’s 24/7 eyeliners. Creamy, great colors and they stayed the *beep* on. These are the closest I’ve found in clean beauty. Bronze is gorgeous, and Stone has a bit of a UD ‘Underground’ vibe (one of my faves). My only complaint is the lid…all of mine split almost immediately. Lids aside these are the best! HENNÉ Organics | Luxury Lip Tint

I love this tinted lip balm (I’ll be adding it to my favorites!). I discovered it last Christmas when my teenager was obsessed with Clinique’s Black Honey and I was looking for a clean dupe  (‘Muse’ is damn close!). Just a lovely wash of color, and it’s moisturizing and cushiony…feels great on. There is also a clear version! Ships direct from Henné Organics.

RITUEL DE FILLE | The Ethereal Veil (Metis)

I stopped hunting for a foundation that worked for my crazy skin after I started using this amazing concealer. It covers what you need it to cover, but is light and breathable and applies beautifully. Doesn’t settle in pores and lines, just your skin but better. Plus I’m saving money not buying foundation anymore! Goes on well with your fingers, but really applies dreamily with a brush. Metis works the best on me…it’s a tad light in the summer, but a bit of bronzer fixes that. Staple! Ships direct from Rituel de Fille.

ILIA | Balmy Tint

Finally a tinted lip balm that has some real color payoff! This feels like a creamy, buttery lippie that shows as a sheer lipstick. Color is definitely buildable though! And the vanilla scent is DIVINE. I love the shades Memoir (a warm mauve) and Faded (a 90’s style brown…too good). Named my Best Clean Tinted Lip Balm this past year, and ships from Carbon Beauty!

KARI GRAN | Lip Mask

The big daddy of all the lip balms, this right here is the Vaseline dupe you’ve been looking for. I use this first thing every morning, and during the winter when my lips are chapped, this is my go to. Nice and thick, great staying power.  My pick for Best All-Around Lip Balm for Dry, Chapped Lips, AND it ships direct from Kari Gran.

HERO. | Force Field SPF30

Finding a clean daily sunscreen for my teenager that doesn’t exacerbate the rollercoaster that is teen acne has been ever so much fun (said with much sarcasm). Everything she tried either flared up the bumps, was too whitening (she’s blessed with a beautiful olive skintone), or too drying. Add to that that mama needs it to be teen budget-friendly, the choices were slim. My girl has been long-time fan of the Mighty Patch, and when she saw on a TikTok that Hero Cosmetics now has a clean sunscreen that is not only acne-friendly but also has a sheer green tint to it to blur redness, she sent the scoop my way. Let me tell you, it has been a true gamechanger!!! Force Shield Superlight Sunscreen is a clean gel-cream formula with SPF 30 (zinc oxide), is reef safe, fragrance-free, silicone-free, non-comedogenic and non-irritating. Her skin has been clearer, it has just the right amount of moisture and she says it’s perfection under makeup. OSMIA | Black Clay Soap

This was one of the key products that helped heal my perioral dermatitis. It’s also been great for my teenager’s acne. Super gentle, but healing and effective. Ships from Carbon Beauty.

SALT & STONE | SPF 30 Lip Balm

This became the one-and-only in my beach bag last summer. SPF of 30, very little whitecast (not that I care on the beach), is water resistant, reef safe, moisturizing, the price is right ($10), it’s organic and goes on like a lip balm should (think good ole chapstick). One of my favorite finds!!! Ships direct from Salt & Stone.

TREAT | Jumbo Organic Lip Balm

There is just something about a big fat lip balm! And you can’t beat the price…that’s a lot of natural lip balm (and organic, no less!) for $13.99. I always have the Mint & Matcha Tea in my purse (does double duty as an eye moisturizer/depuffer)…super minty (but also very sweet!), sometimes I just take off the lid to take a deep refreshing breath. My daughter loves the Marshmallow Moisture Stick version (heck so do I…works great on cuticles, and smells so yummy). My pick for Best CLEAN Budget Lip Balm!

ALEAVIA | Orchid Body Cleanse

One of my favorite body washes, and this scent in particular is just divine. Not overpowering, just beautiful, relaxing and clean smelling.

LUXURIANT | Monoi de Tahiti Oil

I’m never without Monoi oil, and have used it for years. All natural, such a great moisturizer, and can be used on your hair too (for curlies, a wee bit is great for SOTC!). This seller/brand has been my go-to for over 5 years. The scent will take you straight to a tropical destination, so good.

PRIMA | R+R Cream

This is a cooling, soothing rub that contains whole plant hemp. Great for aches and pains. I gifted this to my Mom in the hopes that it would bring some relief to her arthritic hands without being greasy, and she loves it! Sinks right in and is truly effective.

SALT & STONE | SPF 30 Natural Mineral Sunscreen Lotion

A fantastic option for a clean, mineral-based body sunscreen! This spf 30 version is lightweight (rubs in REALLY easily) with very little whitecast, is water and sweat resistant, reef safe, and the additions of Hyaluronic Acid and Ashwagandha provide great moisture to offset the non-nano zinc. And the fragrance is nice and light, though not your typical fruity or tropical scent…it’s more of a walk through the forest. I dig it. Ships direct from Salt & Stone.

CURL KEEPER | The Original Flexy Brush

For curl clumping, this is fantastic. Get your product on (I like a combo of raking and praying hands), then distribute and smooth everything in with this. I was skeptical, but it really does make a difference in my curls!

GIOVANNI | Smooth as Silk Deep Moisture Shampoo

I’ve used Giovanni’s Tea Tree ‘poo and ‘dish for years for times when my scalp is acting up (so cooling, love it!!), as well as their Weightless Moisture conditioner as a detangler. Somehow I hadn’t dipped into their other offerings until recently, and I’m really digging this shampoo. Moisturizes without weighing down my fine hair. Love it!

INNERSENSE | I Create Volume

Curly girls, you MUST try this. Especially if you have 3A/3B curls that’s fine and easily weighed down (though it also works great on my daughters’ super tight curls). I’ll be forever grateful that my hairstylist @ajstain introduced me to this styler! I’d used much of the rest of the line, but ICV just never hit my radar…it’s described as “…a volumizing cream with a lightweight lotion feel”, and history shows that cream and lotion stylers do NOT work on my beast. But here’s the thing…I Create Volume IMHO is no cream, nor lotion. It’s a lightweight, liquid GEL. And when applied to WET hair (praying hands-style), scrunched first with your hands to help distribute, and then with a t-shirt or microfiber towel to get out excess water, you get gorgeous, defined, bouncy curls. No flaking, hardly much SOTC needed. AND a little goes a long way. It’s the goodies ladies, get you some. Best of 2021! Ships from Carbon Beauty.

INNERSENSE | Inner Peace Whipped Creme Texturizer

This is one product I never would have tried for my fine hair, but once again my fab hairstylist schooled me. I use this to SOTC (scrunch out the crunch) after my hair is totally dry. The key is to use a tiny, tiny bit – I rub it in my hands really well, then gently scrunch all over. Gets the crunch out but also provides an extra bit of hold…I find I don’t really need hairspray when I use this. I think folks with thicker curls would particularly love this and probably could use it as their primary styler. And I loooove the citrusy scent! The tub lasts me AGES since you only need a wee bit at a time. Ships from Carbon Beauty.

SHEAMOISTURE | Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo

All-time favorite clarifying shampoo for curly hair. Gentle enough that I can use it every wash, but it definitely removes all of the product build up. I was initially worried about using a clarifying shampoo too often, but with all of the product we curlies have to use, I’ve found clarifying is the key to big, bouncy curls. And this formula clarifies while nourishing, so my hair never feels dried out. Works wonders on my daughter’s 4B curls too!
