2022 Clean Beauty Holiday Gift Guide

If you’re looking for clean beauty gift ideas this holiday season, I’ve got you covered. This 2022 green beauty holiday gift guide is a tight little edit of some of my favorite clean beauty gifts. This is no ginormous list for you to scroll through, I’m giving you my best-of-the-best!

MARIE VERONIQUE | Barrier Restore Serum and Barrier Lipid Complex

If someone on your list has dry or dehydrated skin, or is battling any skin issues such as rosacea or perioral dermatitis, they will love you forever for gifting them this incredible duo. Literally saved my skin!

• Barrier Restore Serum is absolutely phenomenal at hydrating and re-balancing barrier function. It’s magic in a bottle.
• Barrier Lipid Complex is a killer of a moisturizer and was key in healing my skin’s barrier. Perfect in the winter when our skin is drier.

MAYA CHIA | The Straight A and The Super Lift Vitamin C-More Serum

Maya Chia is another amazing skincare line, and you really can’t go wrong with any of their products. I did a full review of my favorite Maya Chia products here, but when it comes to gifting something special, these 2 products are really unique and truly special.

• The Straight A is hands down the best clean retinol on the market (IMHO). Safe for sensitive skin, it is a gentle but powerfully effective, clean, plant-based retinol treatment. Fine lines and acne get the buh-bye with this miracle juice. And one bottle lasts quite a while as most won’t use every night, and less than 1 pump is needed per use.
• The Super Lift Vitamin C-More Serum is also safe for sensitive skin (the only vitamin C serum I’ve been able to use!). All the benefits of vitamin C plus provides a nice layer of moisture beneath your moisturizer and SPF. And it really does have a lovely, immediate firming effect on the skin…it’s a genius formulation!

HENRY ROSE | Fragrance Sets ($28-140)

Henry Rose (yep, the one founded by Michelle Pfeiffer) is one of my favorite clean fragrance lines. In fact they were the first fine fragrance line to be both EWG Verified™ and Cradle to Cradle Certified™. And they offer sampler and gift sets that are perfect for gift giving!

• Discovery Sets – These are perfect for someone who is on the hunt for their new signature fragrance, or someone that just loves perfumes in general! OTHERLAND | Candles (starting at $36)

Otherland is definitely one of my favorite clean candle companies. Beautiful packaging, the fragrance combinations are unlike anyone elses and the scent throw is insane. Otherland candles are hand-poured using a coconut and soy blend wax with a pure cotton wick. Fragrances are composed of naturally harvested and/or safe-synthetic ingredients, and are all free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and synthetic dyes. And of course, cruelty-free.

• The Gilded Collection is how I discovered Otherland, while shopping a few Christmases ago for a unique, clean holiday candle for a candle-loving friend. I was so intrigued by the style  and scent descriptions that I got one for myself as well, and it was love at first smell (cheesy but true). “Old Fashioned” is my top pick (plum brandy, worn leather and dried fruits…fantastic!), and “Fallen Fir” is perfect for those of us rocking an artificial Christmas tree but still love that fresh, pine tree smell. The artwork on the labels of the matte black jars make them perfect for the holidays and gorgeous gifts.

We love Olive & June around here. Great nail polish that is 15-FREE, offering a fantastic color range and great staying power. This cute little holiday set includes 3 of their best-selling shades (Pink Sands, Lilac Shimmer and Hot Strawberry), the Super Glossy Top Coat and 2 stickers packs. Such a great deal!

I also have to recommend their press-on sets…my daughter loves her some press-ons, so I got her a set from O&J last year for her stocking. Perfect!

ECOTOOLS | Start the Day Beautifully Makeup Brush Set ($9)

This is a terrific set of 5 brushes plus storage case. Handcrafted with eco-friendly materials, cruelty-free and packaged with tree-free materials. And at a fantastic price point! Can’t beat a set of good brushes for under $10. Also travel-friendly! My teen picked this set out last year, and she still loves the brushes.

WILDLING | Gua Sha Stones ($59-150)

Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that’s been around for 4000 years. 4000. It took about 3998 years for it to become well-known and loved everywhere else, but boy is it having a moment now.

Gua Sha techinques have traditionally been used in healing – to relieve muscle tension, boost the immune system, reduce inflammation, increase circulation and even reduce fevers.  Wildling is a lovely women-owned company that shared such helpful videos on their IG that I dove in and purchased the Empress Stone. It quickly became my go-to facial tool. Not only does it help with contouring and fine lines, it’s a HUGE help when I’m having sinus issues.

All Wildling stones are made from bian stone, a stone that is composed of a powerful blend of over 40 minerals that are known for their healing properties.

MOUNT LAI | The Jade Tension Melting Massager for Face & Neck ($72)

I have a massager like this that’s all metal, and I’m putting this jade version on my wishlist!! This beautiful two-pronged jade crystal facial massager is traditionally used in Chinese medicine practices. The unique double-balled end gently kneads skin on the face and neck to help depuff, sculpt, and relieve tension. The added benefits of healing jade make this a killer anti-aging, stress-relieving too. Plus it’s so pretty, it’s just made for gift-giving!

JILLIAN DEMPSEY | Gold Bar ($195)

The Gold Bar boosts blood flow and lymphatic drainage (de-puffing), sculpts, firms and smooths the skin. From Jillian’s site: “Supporting skin circulation is the best way to prep skin, whether you’re going barefaced or full glam.” I haven’t tried this myself, but my mom has! She actually got this as part of her 50th anniversary gift (makes a fun Golden Anniversary gift!), and she loves it…says it works great on firming her jowls and is very relaxing. She recommends following the instructions and using gentle motions…the tool itself is powerful and doesn’t need additional pressure.

• The ultimate wouldn’t-buy-it-for-themselves item, if you’re really looking to spoil someone this is the gift! And this one is the OG…Jillian discovered this big-in-Japan skincare tool in Tokyo, and spent years sourcing the perfect elements for it. It’s plated in 24K gold, and vibrates at 6000 rotations per minute.
• Truly an effective skincare tool, the reviews for the Gold Bar are off-the-chain. Great way to give someone something gold that’s not jewelry, it’s a very unique gift!

BARE HANDS | The Dry Gloss Manicure Kit ($39)

Priced to be less than the cost of one salon visit, the founder of Bare Hands created this method as an at-home, healthier way to care for your nails, giving salon results without the toxins or price tag. I’m a HUGE fan of the magical glass polisher in this kit, and the cuticle oil is top-notch. Both are housed in a chic little vegan case, making it perfect for travel, too. Definitely one of my all-time favorite clean beauty finds. My nails always look like they’re painted with clear polish, but they’re not!

THE DETOX MARKET | Super Chill Facial Pill ($12)

This will be in my daughter’s stocking this year to be sure! While my husband and I have been thoroughly entertained by her nightly dunking of her face into an ice water bath, I think this little baby will make things a little easier for her (albeit less funny for us). This reusable pill-shaped silicone ice mold can be filled with plain or essenced water. Once frozen, pop the top off and use on clean skin to “…depuff, refresh, and invigorate skin for a calm, glowing complexion”.

SAHAJAN | Lip Karma in Chai ($22)

Another one that will be in my daughter’s stocking this year (and hopefully mine too!). This isn’t one I can personally vouch for, but reviews from various sites are all thumbs’ up. Other flavors available (like Mint and Coconut) but we love us some chai tea, and how perfect for the holidays!

MAYA CHIA | Waterless Wonder Balm ($42)

Truly a multi-purpose wonder balm, it’s fantastic for anything that needs moisture locked in and healed. Wonderful on the lips, cracked heels, dry/dehydrated toenails (yes, that’s a thing), and it’s become my go-to hand ‘cream’ (so effective on dry skin and it isn’t greasy!!). It’s super concentrated so just a dab will do ya, which is why the pan will last ages (I’ve had mine for a year). Smells heavenly. I love to gift this…and it makes a great stocking stuffer!

JENNY PATINKIN | Vegan Makeup Brush Soap ($19)

This does a great job at cleaning brushes, and makes the process super easy. Lasts forever, too! I popped this in my teenager’s stocking last year when she was just starting to get into makeup, hoping to start her off with good habits when it comes to makeup application. Makes a great yearly gift! All natural and the tin is reusable/recyclable.
